Frequently Asked Questions

Class Specific

1What if I don’t like it?
We know what it’s like when you go along to a class and immediately have to pay for a month/term upfront without having tried the class first. That’s why we offer all new customers their first class for FREE so that you can decide whether you love it first!
2Do I need to book in advance for regular weekly classes?
No – Just turn up! We’ll let you know if classes have become too big and we’ve had to create a waiting list.
3What should I wear to class?
You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in, but we recommend your typical active wear or loose-fitting clothing with some trainers. You can also buy FUNkSTREET T-shirts so that you never have to decide what to wear again!
4What do I need to bring?
Just yourself, a bottle of water and cash to pay for your class. If you’re like me and sweat a lot, then a towel is always a good idea too!
5Do I need any previous dance experience to attend a class?
Not at all! The whole point of our classes is that you have fun and we believe you can do that whether you’re super co-ordinated or have two left feet. You might just surprise yourself and discover you’re naturally talented.
6What happens if I can’t make a class?
Don’t worry. Our classes are designed to be drop-in classes so lots of people choose to come every other week. At class we work on a routine over two to three weeks, but we always refresh at the beginning of each class and work at a pace that suits everyone. You’ll soon catch up if you’ve missed a week or two.
7How does a class Credit Card work?
Our class Credit Cards are designed for those who want to commit to coming to class regularly but can’t make every week. You pay a non-refundable amount upfront and then your card is valid for 4 months – that works out as attending one class every three weeks. You also get class at a reduced rate to the standard PAYG cost.
8I’m worried about coming on my own.
That’s normal, but don’t be! Our classes are fun and relaxed and have a great community feel to them. Most people come to our classes alone but soon end up making friends with other people.

Frequently Asked Questions - Other

1I want to book some wedding ‘First Dance’ lessons. How many do I need?
Everyone is different and learns at a different pace. It also depends on what you’re looking for from your lessons – a few simple moves or a fully choreographed routine. However, we recommend a minimum of four lessons either way, to give you a chance to learn at a comfortable pace and to develop your own technique and style.
2I want to book a party. How many guests can I invite?
We don’t put a limit on how many people you can invite – we know how hard it is to whittle down a guest list. All our Party Packages allow up to fifteen guests included within the flat rate cost, with the option of adding additional guests at £9 per head.
3Do all your teachers have a DBS (Formerly CRB check)?
Yes! Safeguarding is our number one priority and we take it very seriously. You can view our Safeguarding Policy below.
